The SGC Stockholm laboratory operates under the direction of the Chief Scientist, Johan Weigelt, who also coordinate activities with the other two SGC nodes.

The project is organised with two Structural Biochemistry teams (headed by Pär Nordlund and Herwig Schüler, respectively), each responsible for a set of targets within different biomedical themes. 

A Biotechnology unit maintains a high throughput protein production process to enable parallel work on a large number of protein targets.

The Structural Biochemistry and Biotechnology teams are supported by Core Scientists with expertise in X-ray crystallography, Biophysics and Research Informatics that maintain vital infrastructure and provide senior experience and advice.

A Scientific Coordinator, Prof. Pär Nordlund,  leads the work of a local Scientific Advisory Committee to identify protein targets for study. Additional responsibilities include scientific oversight and strategic advice to the local SGC team as well as to aid in the development of external research collaborations.
